When a neglected plot of Curaçao beach steals the heart of an irrepressible entrepreneur, five family villas are bound to be more than just that. After all, it would be a waste to let the beautiful white sand and waving palms unappreciated for most of the year. Ad van der Valk and his partner Bibi dreamed up a luxury resort – building their lagoon single-handedly. Rock after rock after rock.
Bibi Island in the center of the bay is a homage to his eponymous girlfriend. The name Baoase eternalized their love. The oasis of Ad and Bibi or – in their native language – Bibi’s en Ad’s oase. Baoase. As a sign of unbreakable love, Bibi Island breaks the waves approaching the shore. Along with first five villas and the Master Villa, it is the start of Baoase.
